Leaving GameChanger, or just want a backup of your season? Here's exactly how to get your team's stats out as a spreadsheet, what's in the file, and what you can do with it.
A CSV opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, so even if you never switch apps, it's a good way to keep a copy of your season.
If a hit or an RBI went to the wrong player, fix it in GameChanger first so the file is right. Team Staff can edit the box score of any game they scored, even after it has ended:
Box score edits update the team and player season stats (which is what the export uses), but not the play-by-play.
The export is season totals for each player. Here's what DiamondKeeper does with it.
The export only holds season totals, so the game-by-game detail isn't in the file to bring.
Pitch counts start tracking in DiamondKeeper from your first game with it, and required-rest compliance works from that point forward. If your league requires documented rest, keep whatever record you already have for earlier in the season.
In DiamondKeeper, go to Me β Saved rosters, tap Manage on the team, then π₯ Import season stats.
Upload the file or paste its contents, then preview exactly what's about to come in.
Totals attach to the right players, so the season carries on instead of restarting at zero.
Heads up if you're deciding: GameChanger now limits free live baseball and softball viewing too ("on a limited basis," per GameChanger's own subscription FAQ). Scoring and family viewing stay free on DiamondKeeper.
Switching is free, scoring is free, and families watch free. For the full move, see how to switch from GameChanger and keep your stats, or read why families look for a free GameChanger alternative.
GameChanger steps on this page follow their own documentation: "Exporting Season Stats" and "Editing Baseball/Softball Box Scores". If their app changes, their help center is the authority.
Yes. If you're listed as Staff on the team (head coach or team admin), you can export your team's season stats as a CSV file. In the GameChanger app, select your team, open the Stats tab, scroll to the bottom and tap Export Stats. On the web, sign in at web.gc.com, open your team's Stats section and click Export Stats. Follower accounts don't see the option.
It's a spreadsheet of season totals for each player, with batting, pitching and fielding sections. It doesn't include game-by-game history or per-game pitch counts, and it reflects any stat filters you had applied when you exported, so clear your filters first if you want the whole season.
Yes. DiamondKeeper imports the GameChanger CSV free. Your batting totals come across, and pitching season totals come across too when the file has a pitching section. Game-by-game history and per-game pitch counts don't, because they aren't in the file. Keep your exported file and check the numbers once they're in.
Team Staff can edit the box score of a game they scored, even after it has ended. In the app, open the game from your Schedule, go to the Box Score sub-tab, tap View Full Stats, then Edit. On the web, open the game, choose Full Game Stats, then Edit Stats. Box score edits update season stats but not the play-by-play. Fix any errors before you export, so the file is right.
Open DiamondKeeper in any phone browser, import your GameChanger file, and keep scoring. Free to switch, free to watch.
